One of the saddest songs I have ever heard because it is without bitterness or malice, a celebration of good times with an acceptance of life as it is.

I don’t need to listen to the original to know that I like this one better. The way you phrase the words in songs makes them sound all the more poignant and true. The gentle guitar-work lulls me into a dream like state where I can imagine the scene. I know they’re not your words but how true is ’no need to watch the bridges that we’re burning.’? The end may be painful but we must remember what made it so painful and then understand that what we are missing is still safely locked in our minds. Why were all the good lines taken before I had a chance to write them? Thank you for appearing in this video. I’ve never seen you singing before!x
