This is my favourite song ever. Rolling Stone magazine ranked it the greatest song of all time. It reached the No.4 spot in the Uk charts (No. 2 in USA) in 1965. This was the highest position Bob Dylan reached in the UK single charts. The song also appeared on his album ’Highway 61 Revisited’ which also made the No. 4 slot in the UK albums chart. This was the song that he used to make his transformation from acoustic to electric. Many of his folk cult followers hated this - stating that he had ’sold out.’
