I like the way you have done something with this rather than just leave it as a straight guitar solo.

Thanks, I can see your point, but the video compression changes the way the whole tune sounds quite badly. For example that rim shot is a brushed snare, but I agree it does sound like a rim shot.
Out of curiosity, what would be your suggestion, baring in mind that the tune has been composed to a specific brief where a slow drum beat is required ?

I understand, it’s so annoying when that happens...only thing I could think to suggest would be to experiment with different drum sounds compressed in the same way and find one that sounds right under that compression...a very long way around I know...sometimes the last sound you’d think of picking actually sounds right...I remember a bass player in the studios one day and he ended up wrapping an elastic band around the strings and that recorded just right! sounded awful live!...I’m aware (I get told a lot) that I’m picky, so please don’t think I mentioned this because it’s really bad, it’s just something I noticed...This really is an excellent track... :- )

I will take your advice, to see what the results will be like. I think tom toms might work, like Paco De Lucia uses, They will be in keeping with the atmosphere and they have a deeper, more note like tone so they want be destroyed by compression. (but I could be wrong . . LOL). When I have finished experimenting, I will post the results to see what you think. Thanks for your input it is appreciated, I don’t mind your comments at all, I was tired when I put the drums on, so it would be good to revisit them.
