It was only when I was invited to do an acoustic set in my old teenage haunt ’The Magic Carpet’ that I was reminded by one of my old friends that we had all been barred the last time we were in It was only when I was invited to do an acoustic set in my old teenage haunt ’The Magic Carpet’ that I was reminded by one of my old friends that we had all been barred the last time we were in there, on a Christmas Eve, many moons ago, after he had decided to do a cartwheel and knock over a table of drinks or some other very similiar drunken hinkjink that involved automatic ejection...so it was funny to step in there on a quiet singer-songwriter night - and that old anarchist side of me from the past was dreaming about exacting some vengence - what better way than to shake off the old live nerves and set the place on fire!!!!!

Ha, great to see a live performance. Just wish my internet was fast enough to watch the whole thing. Great song, still my favourite so far!

Thanks michael - this was my first live gig in years - i was a little rusty and nervy - ’the stuggle of memory against forgetting’ was a line i stole from milan kundera i think. i had kurt kobain in mind at the start of the second verse...cheers man!

6.30 minutes of staring glassy eyed at a computer screen, thinking that maybe I could do with botox if I didn’t have better things to spend my money on.
Almost like being hypnotised....when you brought me out of my trance for the last 1.19 minutes. I would love to have been there.x.

Sinister is easy - stripping back songs which have been months in the layering to a bare acoustic - that’s the scary thing!

Tony - Mikee’s a Spurs supporter (poor sod), hence the rivalry and banter. But now that we’re on the subject of translation - what the hell does COYS stand for, sounds like a beer or something you shout at the barman to get his attention in order to get said beer!!??
