I hear ya,I agree every single human needs to feel appreciated, accepted as they are. A kind word is the best contagion ever. the most effective healing agent known to man=love. Too many peeps think others can fill the holes bad parenting created-they can’t. It’s all about letting go I find.Again, and again-whew- LOL-rots! yet truth eh?
Now acknowledged? ’Broken heart syndrome’ as real and often fatal. All you NEED is Love :D included in love= mental health oh yeah-I found what many call love-isn’t ;)

This beautiful song increased with poignancy because last night I watched a documentary on the story behind the the Titanic giants in Liverpool this week. If you don’t know, it is based on a little girl’s first letter to her father serving on that fated ship. Sadly the letter never reached him but the mechanical giants enact the child’s search through the streets of Liverpool where she finally meets her dad and they end up hugging with her on his lap. To watch the crowds in tears and cheering at these huge mechanical marionettes was spell-binding and I had a lump in my throat. You have hit on something we all wish...to have one chance to say and do what we really missed doing before it was too late.

I heard about that letter on this side of the puddle too-though only two sentences about ’late delivery’ not the coverage you saw. That said-I too would have had a lump in my throat. I agree wholeheartedly with you Geoffree re: unfinished business. While young I oft proclaimed; "I have no regrets!" HA!=refer back to-’young’ -on that note-thanks Geoffree very much for your comment. This little song grew a lot today. Means a lot.

This is one of the saddest stories I have ever heard.
The allegory is superb,
I am lucky enough to have had the most brilliant relationship with my dad. He bought me my first bike, and my second, and then my first competitive racing machine..I never looked back...and I am in the most happy position at the age of 55, to say:-
"Look at Me DAD".x.
