This one is another acoustic-live, version of an album track from the first album (Communications). It was written for my co-conspirator (Russell Baillie) to sing. In this early video I play and sing the song. This song is an account of a dream, its meaning is open to many interpretations, but the ’death’ in question was my own. :)
Lyrics:
DEATH IN PARIS
There’s nothing wrong, just a lack of application
You can’t cut off when the temperature gets high
Live with the pain as you live with the pleasure
Feel with the tide as it changes forever
Something must be done, you say,
To bring the world together
Before our lives in earnest can begin
I keep writing is this all the same song anyway
You keep evading,
when we need to talk it through today.
Were you present at my Death in Paris?
As the poison spread and numbed me to the pain.
Could you feel the hidden meaning?
Will you reach out or are you lost again?
You’re lost again.
Were you present at His Death in Paris?
Or among the crowd at Alexander’s Palace?
Were you watching as they killed the spy last night?
Did you laugh as he tried to put up a fight?
Ha Ha Ha!
There’s nothing wrong just a lack of application
