NOTES FROM THE FUTURE – MT HAS A DREAM

Notes from The Future – Tony Floyd Kenna, Editor.

As we head around the Sun yet again MT has entered it’s second year. The Video
Site has grown in excess of 1,000 members, with quite a big number regularly
posting new material.

Over the first year we have seen many new friendships made and lots of collaborations in writing, video making and recording. Things that would probably not have happened if MT didn’t exist. It truly has lived up to it’s name, Musicians Together.

So who helps make this all happen? Obviously the membership is a huge part but
it does take a little oiling, fixing, encouragement to keep it running, and all on a voluntary basis!

Mark  H. is the founder and visionary behind MT. He has given blood, sweat, tears and money to make it happen. Behind the scenes Mark is continuously working to improve and update everything.

On a day to day basis Mikee (Monello) is looking after the video site. He has put in a tremendous amount of time and introduced the hugely successful and well received challenges such as The Dylan Dare and MT Peppers to name but a few. This has provided a platform to both cover classic songs and to hear great new versions of same.

Julia, truly the MT ambassador, greeting new members and making them feel at home.

Brian brings us The Songwriters Corner. It is the muse and impetus for new original material that would not otherwise exist. Light And Shade, Unknown
Country and more great innovative themes have inspired some great writing and
performances.

Young Ciaran gives us a new Music Ladder episode every month, always worth catching up with. It will cover some aspect, artist, topic of specific interest to MT members.

And who could miss Geoffree? Busily listening, commenting and encouraging.

Not forgetting AtomikDog, Steppenwolf, Jannen, Tina, Toracube, Mama Kaz and
many more who give their time to listen to and feedback on other people’s work.

And while all this is happening the people mentioned above are also trying to
write and post their own material!

Over on Facebook we have the Musicians Together Group, envisaged as a sort of
conduit, it has brought in new members and provides a platform to post and talk
about MT stuff. You’ll find me overseeing it.

The MT forum provides a vehicle for all sorts of conversations, requests,
interactions. It is there for members to use if they so desire.

And here we are in the MT Magazine. We expect to grow this and have a lot more
activity in the coming year. It is a great place for members with CD releases to get a review, for information on the business, for interesting articles, for the stories behind the stories. Apart from me great help and input had been given by Geoffree, Mikee, Ciaran, John and of course Mark. Our newest reviewer, Robert, has just beamed in.

We have also forged a storng link, via Mama Kaz, with the NIUMF and are working on more such links at this very moment..

The future success and development of MT depends on each and every member being active, and on the tireless voluntary input of those who oil the wheels.

Thank you for catching up with us here, the World awaits, let us all make MT an
awesome success and a great place to be part of!
