What's the best software for MAC slideshows?

Hi folks.  

Up until the middle of last year, I used PhotoStory3 on my PC.
Now I'm looking for decent software to make slideshow videos on my iMac.
(Yes, I know about iPhoto, but it has its quirks: e.g. sychronisation of music and images can go out of whack when the video is posted anywhere.)

I've read positive reviews of Fotomagico 3.6. Has anyone here used it? Or can you recommend something else?

I want to easily - at least not too steep a learning curve  :?  - create music-photo slideshows.

Minimum requirements:
Must be a reasonable selection of transitions.
Image quality (in posted video) should remain high.
Synchronisation of music and images should remain stable (when posting).
(Of course, must be able to be posted to YouTube and other venues.)

Any tips/suggestions much appreciated.

I use a PC, but have a friend who uses a Mac and makes fantastic promotional videos for his businesses. I suspect he uses the Adobe software (Photoshop/Fireworks?). I think they are expensive products, but extremely professional. I'll ask him next time we speak and get back to you

I have Photoshop, and would use it to 'edit'/manipulate pictures prior to placing them in a slideshow.
However, I've never heard of "Fireworks" in connection with video-making software. I look forward to hearing what your friend says.
